The opening session explored the power of the regional equity framework for achieving economic and social justice in the United States. It featured diverse leaders from the labor, faith, community development, and civil rights arenas who are advancing regional equity. The panelists defined what regional equity means in practice and shared promising efforts to achieve it. They also discussed strategies for confronting challenges and articulated their visions for the movement.
