This plenary session featured foundation executives discussing philanthropy’s support of diverse initiatives that are designed to reverse inequitable patterns of regional growth and development. Panelists approach this work from a variety of issue areas and perspectives and in this discussion, explore d questions such as: how is a regional equity framework useful in shaping philanthropic strategies to create economic and social opportunity for disadvantaged families? What opportunities and challenges exist for funders that wish to support regional equity efforts? What are the most promising points for interventions?
