social justice, ecology and eco-spirituality
on care for our common home
upcoming events — May 2020
Breakthrough Communities joins many communities, organizations, schools and colleges around the world in celebrating May 16-23 as “Laudato Si’ — Care for our Common Home” Week.
This week will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the release of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ Encyclical. In honor of the anniversary of this groundbreaking document, Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker, of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology, will offer a presentation on Ecospirituality on TUESDAY, MAY 19 at 9am EST (6am PDT). Breakthrough Communities will be participating in this webinar and we invite you to join in.

Panels and webinars sponsored by the Yale Forum will provide an opportunity to explore the key ideas of integral ecology where “The Cry of the Earth, the Cry of the Poor” are seen as unified. Laudato Si’, the second encyclical of Pope Francis (in this case, a letter addressed to the entire world) appeals to thoughtful people everywhere to work for ecological sanity and social justice.
